Pitch in and help!

There are very few limits to how much  you can customize your SmugMug site.  It can seem a bit overwhelming at first, but once you take a few minutes to understand the basics, and then try a few things at a time, you'll quickly realize just how easy it is.  And don't worry if you make a mistake, our Support Heroes will get you unstuck!

A couple basic tips for customizing:

• Have two browsers, one that you are logged in on, and one you are logged out on.  This way you can see your site as customers and visitors will see it.  We love the excellent Firefox Browser, it's free from www.mozilla.com
• Always make backups and copies of your work as you customize.  Save copies as notepad or .txt files on your computer.  If something goes wrong, you can always revert.
• If your customization isn't showing up for a particular gallery, check to see if that gallery has hide owner checked "yes."  Hide Owner not only hides your name and navigation, but it hides your customization, as well.
